Biography

Dr. Mohanty received her medical degree from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India. She discovered her interest in neuro-degenerative disorders through clinical research in the Division of Movement Disorders at University of Louisville, Kentucky, prior to residency. She completed her Adult Neurology residency at the University of Louisville, Kentucky, in 2023. She then went on to pursue a two-year fellowship in movement disorders and neuromodulation at the University of California, San Francisco, graduating in 2025.

Personal Statement

My clinical focus includes the management of Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, ataxia, dystonia, and other complex movement disorders. I offer advanced treatment modalities, including deep brain stimulation and botulinum toxin therapy for management of movement disorders. My particular interests within the subspecialty include atypical parkinsonism, dystonia, and autoimmune movement disorders.
