Biography

Dr. Ninneman received a B.A. degree in Environmental Studies (2010) from Willamette University. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree (2020) from Oregon Health and Science University. Following her M.D. degree, she completed a 3-year residency in Family Medicine and a 1-year fellowship in Addiction Medicine at the University of New Mexico.

Personal Statement

Dr. Ninneman hails from Taos, NM. She completed her B.A. in Environmental Studies at Willamette University in Salem, OR, where she worked in environmental education and non-profit management for several years. Feeling a strong pull to medicine, she moved to Portland, OR to complete post-baccalaureate studies at Portland State University She attended Oregon Health and Science University for medical training. She returned to NM in 2020 for residency, and is a graduate of both the UNM FM Residency program and the UNM Addiction Medicine Fellowship program. She currently provides primary care and addiction care in both the 1209 and ADOBE clinics, and is an attending on both the FM inpatient teaching service and the UNMH inpatient addiction consult service, CAMINOS. She is passionate about addiction care and addiction education, and enjoys working across settings to build relationships and systems that better support patient care.
