Senior Instructor III, University of New Mexico Physician Assistant Program.
Instructor of Record for PA Students for the following blocks: Infectious Disease, Cardiovascular, Pulmonary, and Renal (CVPR), Foundations of Research Medicine (FRM), Clinical Skills III. Facilitator for Doctoring and Clinical Reasoning. Revamped the remediation curriculum for the UNM-PA program.
2012-2018 Advanced Practice Fellowship in Hospital Medicine, University of Colorado.
Member of core faculty dedicated to the education of 54 advanced practice fellows over 6 years. Led daily bedside teaching and delivered didactics. Developed and shared lecture modules on the didactic topics: COPD, DVT/PE, Abnormal LFTs, VTE Prophylaxis, Refeeding Syndrome, Hyponatremia. Three times per year taught ?Boot Camp,? an intensive hospital medicine-based teaching curriculum at the beginning of the fellowship. Developed Boot Camp lectures: Glycemic Control, Chest Pain, Sign Out, Antibiotic Primer, Hypoxemia and Electronic Medical Record Optimization. Helped divisional leadership with strategic planning retreat to redesign the advanced practice fellowship in 2015. Continued to co-lead ongoing action committee meetings regarding implementation of the strategic plan over a 6-month period.
2015-2018 Remediation Program for Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant
Program (CHA/PA), University of Colorado. Created a remediation curriculum for the CHA/PA program; prior to this, there was no formal remediation curriculum. Taught CHA/PA faculty members the remediation curriculum. Remediated 7 students who were referred because of deficits including medical knowledge, interpersonal skills, clinical reasoning, procedural skills and professionalism.
