Biography

Frankie Perry, R.N., M.A., LFACHE, has held senior management positions in both nursing and hospital administration. She served as Assistant Medical Center Director of Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan for several years. In addition to her hospital experience, she served as Executive Vice President of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and as a national and international healthcare consultant with engagements in Cairo, Egypt, Doha, Qatar, and Mumbai, India, among others. She is a well-published author of books and articles on ethics and healthcare management The 3rd Edition of her book The Tracks We Leave: Ethics and Management Dilemmas in Healthcare was published in 2020 by Health Administration Press. Her other books include Healthcare Leadership Excellence: Creating a Career of Impact co-authored with James A. Rice; (2012) Management Mistakes in Healthcare: Identification, Correction and Prevention co-authored with Paul Hofmann (2005); The Tracks We Leave: Ethics in Healthcare Management (2001); and Healthcare Leadership That Makes a Difference: Creating Your Legacy, A Self Study Program (2012).

Achievements & Awards

In 2011, Perry was the first female recipient of the American College of Healthcare Executives Lifetime Service and Achievement Award for outstanding, nationally recognized contributions to advance the profession of healthcare management.

She is also a past member of the Board of Directors for the Commission for the Accreditation of Health Care Management Education.
