Biography
I am a nurse educator with a Master of Science in Nursing Education from the University of New Mexico, committed to empowering the next generation of nurses through effective teaching and mentorship. With extensive experience in pediatric oncology as a specialty nurse case manager, I provided care coordination, patient education, and advocacy. I also served as a Developmental Disabilities Waiver Nurse, supporting diverse populations in community and family settings.
Currently, I serve as a Lecturer I at the University of New Mexico, where I teach across various undergraduate nursing programs, including Freshman Direct, Traditional Entry, and Accelerated BSN pathways. In didactic, clinical, and lab education, I have mentored nursing students across various levels, teaching in classrooms, hospital and community settings while delivering NMNEC concept-based curricula. I am committed to using evidence-informed strategies to create meaningful learning experiences for my students.
