Biography

Sasha Poole, PhD, RN, is a Clinician Educator, Assistant Professor and the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) Program Director at The University of New Mexico (UNM) College of Nursing. She received her Doctor of Philosophy from The University of Arizona in 2016, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2003.
Prior to joining the UNM College of Nursing, Dr. Poole served as the director of education and practice and then as the executive director at the New Mexico Board of Nursing. Dr. Poole served as an assistant professor at Western New Mexico University. Her clinical experience include working for the New Mexico Department of Health as public health nurse and as a school nurse for the Belen Consolidated School District. Her acute care expertise is in postpartum and newborn nursing.
