Biography
Dr. Pratesi is an Assistant Tenure track professor at the College of Population Health. Her academic credentials include a Doctoral degree in Health Sciences from the University of Brasilia, Brazil, a master’s in water resources, a master’s of Community and Regional Planning from the University of New Mexico, and a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from Eckerd College. Her Ph.D. and both master’s programs focused on Environmental and Community Health issues.
Dr. Pratesi brings interdisciplinary experience and has cultivated a diverse skill set for addressing complex health and environmental challenges. She has actively contributed to various research topics and publications, including investigations into the quality of life and public health policies protecting celiac patients, environmental and microplastic pollution, and student success.
