Biography
Dr. Puracan received his PharmD from the University of Arizona (2012) and worked as a hospital staff pharmacist prior to entering medical school. He received his MD from St. George?s University in 2018 and completed anesthesiology residency (2022) and regional anesthesia and acute pain medicine fellowship (2023) at UNM.
Personal Statement
Regional anesthesiology and acute pain medicine is rewarding and presented a wonderful opportunity to combine my interests in physiology, procedures, and pharmacology. I decided to stay at UNM to continue working in an environment that was supportive and welcoming. I hope to continue contributing to the clinical practice of anesthesiology as well as supporting the educational mission at UNM.
