Personal Statement

My interest in genetics started in middle school, and it is what led me to medical school. I am excited to be a geneticist in New Mexico. I believe genetic information can be empowering to families. It can help individuals be proactive about their health and optimize their care. I enjoy practicing general genetics and have a special interest in connective tissue disorders, skeletal differences, and chromosomal differences. During fellowship I had the privilege to work with children and adults who came from around the world with rare metabolic conditions for treatment.
