Biography

Dr. Julie Reagan received her MPH and PhD in Public Health from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, School of Public Health. Dr. Reagan is also an attorney with over 20 years of state government practice. As an attorney, she has worked as a staff attorney in a Texas Court of Appeals, as a Texas Assistant Attorney General, and as legal counsel at various public health agencies. In her most recent government role, she served as the Deputy General Counsel at the New Mexico Department of Health. She stepped away from the practice of law and into the realm of academia in 2014.

Dr. Reagan is a nationally recognized legal expert in the field of healthcare-associated infections. Other research areas have included medical and recreational cannabis, concussions in youth sports, infectious disease, and substance abuse in the medical field.
