Biography

Roberts received her B.S. degree in Economics from the Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, her M.S. in Health Systems from the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, and her Ph.D. from the College of Pharmacy at the University of New Mexico (UNM) in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In the years prior to becoming a faculty member at UNM, Dr. Roberts was a health services researcher with a number of health care organizations to include Kaiser Permanente Georgia, Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute, and Lovelace Clinic Foundation.

Personal Statement

Roberts' research has focused on outcomes research related to pharmaceutical treatments. Her main interest is in treatments for chronic conditions, and in particular treatments for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). She has extensive experience with database studies. Current interests include pharmacoeconomics and causal inference methods.
