Personal Statement

I have been a happy resident of New Mexico since 2014. I am originally from California but have been fortunate to live in several states during my academic and professional journey. My husband and I are proudly owned by several dogs and cats. Our most enjoyable past time is mountain biking, and the trails in New Mexico do not disappoint!

The University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center employs the only Board-Certified genetic counselors specializing in hereditary oncology in New Mexico. I relocated from Washington to be part of this team. My expertise includes program development, team management and hereditary cancer risk assessment for individuals with cancer and/or a family history of cancer. I also have a passion for outreach to serve the needs of rural New Mexicans.
