Biography

I completed Medical School in Tehran, Iran in 1993 at Iran University of Medical Sciences. I subsequently completed my residency in general Pediatrics in 1997 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire (Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth) and my Pediatric Cardiology fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital in 2000. In 2020 due to my interest in Quality Improvement and my prior experience in multiple quality improvement projects, I decided to pursue a master's degree in international health management with a focus on quality improvement at Arizona State University College of Health Solutions. This was completed in 2021.

Personal Statement

Patients with congenital heart disease are often complex and most patients and their families will experience significant anxiety. I believe patients should receive excellent and equitable care with compassion and precision to help them through their journey.
