Biography
Growing up in Jordan (Middle Eastern), I have always valued the stateâs vibrant culture, diverse landscapes, and close-knit community. For over ten years, I have been dedicated to healthcare, inspired by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients and fellow healthcare providers. My nursing journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Hashemite University in Jordan, where I found my calling in critical care. Years later, I decided to travel to the United States, New Mexico, where I pursued a Masterâs in Nursing Education from the University of New Mexico, strengthening my commitment to advancing healthcare through education.
My career started in the ICU and critical care units in hospitals across Jordan and Saudi Arabia. This early exposure to acute care laid a strong foundation for my expertise in ventilator management, seizure care, and neonatal ICU procedures. After moving to New Mexico, I expanded my role, working with Kindred Hospital, in the ICU of Acute Care long term. where I continued to provide compassionate, patient-centered care and served as a leader in my unit.
In 2023, I transitioned into an educator role as a Clinical Instructor at UNM. Teaching allows me to share my clinical experiences with future nurses, guiding them with the same dedication and support I received in my early career. As a bilingual healthcare provider fluent in both English and Arabic, I bring cultural awareness and sensitivity to my work, fostering strong connections with patients, colleagues, and students alike. Through my combined roles as a caregiver and educator, I strive to inspire and elevate the standards of patient care and nursing education in New Mexico and beyond.
