Biography

Dr. Savage received his BA degree in biochemistry and computer science in 2007 from Austin College (Sherman, TX). He earned his MD and PhD degrees from the University of Texas McGovern Medical School and the UT Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (Houston, TX) in 2018. He completed internal medicine residency at the Cleveland Clinic (Cleveland, OH) and the University of California San Diego, finishing in 2021. He completed his hematology/oncology fellowship at Scripps Green and Scripps Clinic (La Jolla, CA) in 2024. Dr. Savage is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology, and he is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.

Personal Statement

I care for people with melanoma, non-melanoma skin cancers, and sarcoma at the UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center. I am interested in running clinical trials, educating my community about skin cancer prevention, and advocating for equitable healthcare access for all New Mexicans.
