Biography

Sibbitt received a B.A.degree in Chemistry (1973) and Doctor of Medicine (1977) from the University of New Mexico. He completed a 3 year residency in Internal Medicine (1980) from the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center and a 3 year fellowship in Rheumatology/Immunology (1983) from the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center.

Personal Statement

Dr. Sibbitt has clinical and research interests and publications in rheumatology, immunology, medical imaging, ultrasound, medical devices, and procedural rheumatology. He also has 13 issued US patents and 20 published US patent applications and over 200 scientific publications. Dr. Sibbitt has co-founded 3 startup companies: Avanca Medical Devices, Inc. (procedure device company), Avasca, Inc (vascular closure company), Biosurgical Solutions, Inc (interventional/diagnostic company focus on arthritis of the knee).
