Personal Statement

As the Center for Healthcare Equity in Kidney Disease Associate Director, I am able to combine my personal interests in social aspects of medicine and health equity with my extensive research experience at UNM. I manage various collaborative awards with different sponsored entities and oversee program operations and research administration of the Center. I have a strong background in human subject and research regulations as a continuously Certified Clinical Research Professional since 2005. I am incredibly honored to be part of a group that is establishing new recommendations in healthcare that can reduce disparities and address the needs of New Mexico’s most vulnerable patients.
