Biography

Dr. Velazquez-Campbell graduated from the University of Colorado with bachelor degrees in both History and Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology. She went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Velazquez-Campbell completed her residency in Pediatrics at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, OR where she also completed a chief residency year. She joined the University of New Mexico School of Medicine Faculty in 2018 where she currently practices Pediatric Hospital Medicine.

Personal Statement

I provide clinical care to children who require admission to the hospital. I am grateful and humbled to have the opportunity to care for the children of New Mexico and their families. I am passionate about family centered care, utilizing the full scope of the healthcare team and shared decision making. I am active in teaching medical students and residents about the practice of pediatrics. As an Associate Program Director for the Pediatric Residency I am passionate about nurturing the future generations of pediatric physicians.
