Personal Statement

I completed my PhD in Health Psychology from University of Iowa in 2022 following completion of my MPH in Community and Behavioral Health (2020) and graduate certificate in biostatistics (2021). Broadly speaking, I am interested in how varying levels of influence (i.e., individual, interpersonal, organizational/community) affect health-related quality of life and patient-centered outcomes in chronic diseases. My previous work has focused on treatment decision-making in chronic kidney disease (CKD), which has led me down the path of investigating and addressing health inequities among underrepresented racial and ethnic minorities with CKD.
