Biography

Dr. Wilson received her BS degree from Cornell University and her PhD from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She completed medical training and residency in clinical and anatomic pathology at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM, with fellowship training in hematopathology at the City of Hope National Medical Center, Duarte, CA. She is a working Professor Emeritus in the Department of Pathology at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center and was the previous Medical Director of Flow Cytometry at TriCore Reference Laboratories.

Research interests have involved gene expression profiling of patients with acute leukemia at the UNM Cancer Research and Treatment Center and work with plasma cell disorders. She currently serves on the Hematopathology Test Development and Advisory Committee of the American Board of Pathology, and the Publication Committee for the College of American Pathology. Prior appointments include membership on the CAP Curriculum Committee, CAP SAM Committee, CAP Hematology and Clinical Microscopy Resource Committee and ASCP Quality Management Hematopathology Committee. She has written numerous book chapters and peer-reviewed papers.
