Biography
Donna Winn is a lecturer at the University of New Mexico College of Nursing. She received her BSN and MSN from the University of New Mexico. Prior to taking her position in academia, she worked as a manager/educator in an accredited nurse residency program. During that time she focused not only on new graduate nurses transitioning in clinical practice, but the growth of the individuals nursing identity, leadership skills and professional development. She has experience in emergency medicine, acute care adult health nursing and most recently in ambulatory care throughout the covid pandemic response. Her professional interests continue include education in adult health and transition to practice for new graduate nurses.
