Personal Statement

I have a special interest in the clinical area of peritoneal dialysis (PD), a type of renal replacement therapy that patients suffering from end-stage kidney disease can perform in the comfort of their own homes. As Medical Director of the Home Dialysis program, my staff and I aim to increase awareness that PD can be a superb dialysis option with myriad potential benefits, including general well-being due to its gentler nature, independence, greater lifestyle flexibility, less restricted diet, and longer lasting residual kidney function.
