Biography

Dr. Yahya received his M.D. degree in Medicine (2010) from the University of Jordan. He earned his ECFMG certification in 2011 and completed a 4-year Adult Psychiatry Residency and Internship (2018) at the University of New Mexico, where he also served as Chief Resident of Psychiatry at the Veterans Affairs Hospital. Following his M.D., he worked as a medical doctor with Doctors Without Borders in Amman, Jordan, providing care to war victims. Dr. Yahya is currently an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at the University of New Mexico and the Medical Director of Adult Inpatient Services at the UNM Psychiatric Center.
