Biography

Dr. Zhou earned her MD from China Medical University, Shenyang, P.R. of China in 1987, followed by her PhD from Kyoto University Graduate School of Medicine, Kyoto, Japan in 1996. Before coming to the US, she practiced as a pathologist. Subsequently, Dr. Zhou served as an assistant professor in research within the department of Genitourinary Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston TX. She then completed a four-year residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, TX, and a one-year clinical fellowship in Surgical Pathology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, with a selective focus on Breast and Genitourinary pathology.

Personal Statement

I've consistently fascinated by the complexities and challenges within breast, gynecological, and genitourinary pathology. This fascination has evolved into my focused interest and specialization in these fields, influencing not only my clinical practice but also my role in educating residents and medical students, as well as conducting clinical research.
