UNM is ranked 83rd in the nation – up 16 spots from last year – and eighth in the Mountain West region.

“Online education is more important than ever before,” says Christine E. Kasper, PhD, RN, dean of the College of Nursing. “Our MSN Nursing Administration and Nursing Education programs educates nurses and prepares them to be leaders in their field, advancing nursing care for all New Mexicans. There is a shortage of nurse educators in New Mexico, and we take pride in helping fill the vital positions.”

The College has a long record of meeting the health care needs of New Mexico’s rural and underserved populations, with a focus on addressing cutting-edge delivery of care, as well as health equity as it relates to rural health, biobehavioral health, data science and health policy.

Each year, U.S. News & World Report ranks professional online master’s programs in business, computer information, criminal justice, education, engineering and nursing. The rankings in these areas are based on expert opinions about program excellence, as well as statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school's faculty, research and students.
