Hilary Hoekenga Named Administrator of UNM Orthopaedics Center of Excellence
Hilary Hoekenga, MBA, has been hired as the administrator for The University of New Mexico Center of Excellence for Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation, which is set to open later this year in Rio Rancho.
Hoekenga previously worked at the University of Colorado Health, where she was the director of operations, with strategic and operational responsibility for eight practice sites and more than 10 outreach locations in Colorado Springs.
Hoekenga has master’s degrees in business administration and health care administration and is adept in strategic development, performance optimization, process improvement and lean concepts, said Pam Demarest, RN, chief nursing officer at UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center.
Hoekenga will be on site in early June, but will begin to join some of the meetings related to the building and planning as early as April. She is happy to be returning to her home state of New Mexico with her family.
