History of CDM

The University of New Mexico Center for Disaster Medicine was established in 1989 by UNM Chancellor Dr. Paul Roth. The University of New Mexico Center for Disaster Medicine (CDM) is part of the Pre-Hospital and Disaster Medicine section of the Department of Emergency Medicine.

The mission of CDM is to support health and medical preparedness and response through applied disaster research, healthcare disaster planning, emergency preparedness training, and field medical services.
