Biography

I received my MD degree from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in Mashhad, Iran. I earned a Master's degree in Biomedical and Translational Sciences from the University of California Irvine in 2014. After I graduated, I started working as a junior research specialist. Under the mentorship of my principal investigator, I studied the mechanisms of coma and the role of Orexin in neurological recovery following cardiac arrest and resuscitation. I then completed my neurology residency at UC Irvine Department of Neurology in 2020, followed by a Vascular Neurology fellowship in 2021. Then I moved to Albuquerque to join the University of New Mexico School of Medicine as an assistant professor of Neurology.
