Favorite Things About UNM: My favorite aspect of being a resident at UNM is meeting the people here including residents, attendings, and staff. Everyone is very nice, helpful, and open to questions. I also like the geographical location for low cost of living and having things to do on my free time.
Favorite Things About New Mexico: I like exploring new restaurants and cafes. Bonus point for lots of places with dog-friendly outdoor patios! I also like that I can drive to the Sandia mountains in 20 minutes for an impromptu picnic or hike with my pups. Another awesome thing about Albuquerque are the skiing/snowboarding options nearby--whether it be in the Sandias, Santa Fe, or a few hours away to bigger ski resorts.
