The Advancing Midwifery Outcomes and Resilience (AMOR) grant, T68HP52012, is awarded through the Maternity Care Nursing Workforce Expansion (MatCare) Program and the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA).
AMOR focuses on increasing the number of diverse nurse-midwives in New Mexico, enhancing community partnerships and preparing students to address a broader range of maternal health care needs. The combined effort of AMOR and UNM is to achieve this mission: educate nurse-midwives to care for rural, diverse and under-resourced communities. We will endeavor to improve the health and well-being of individuals and families through partnership and community collaboration. We will strive towards social justice and human dignity.
