Parking
The Convocation ceremony takes place at The Albuquerque Convention Center in the Kiva Auditorium. Graduating students, family, and guests can part in the Convention Center garage on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue or at the Civic Plaza garage.Information regarding parking at the convention center can be found here.
Prohibited items
No glass items or containers are allowed due to safety concerns.
Helium balloons are not allowed in the building, as they can become lodged in the ventilation system if released.
Confetti is not allowed in the building.
Photography & Videography
Please refrain from flash photography during the ceremony
Guests are not allowed in the roped off area at any time.
Professional photographers will be at the event, and their photos will be available for free on the College of Nursing graduation webpage a few weeks after the ceremony. Guests are encouraged to stay in their seats and enjoy the show.
It is suggested that graduating students and families and guests pre-plan a meeting location for themselves after the ceremony, to alleviate congestion while exiting the auditorium.
Workers will begin dismantling the stage and removing event supplies immediately after the ceremony ends, please meet your graduate outside of the event space.
