The University of New Mexico is the only Carnegie R1 (highest research activity) university in the state.  Our goal is to be recognized as a Nursing Research Intensive College. Our scientific investigations look at healthcare from the nurse’s point of view – a holistic perspective and an interdisciplinary approach to understanding acute care, chronic illness and health promotion.
