River of Life
The River of Life is a reflective tool to describe a life journey (often of partnerships, coalitions, or organizations) (Sanchez-Youngman and Wallerstein, 2018). Its purpose is to uncover the histories and influences that motivate individuals and organizational partners to promote community empowerment, greater social participation in the research process, and community transformation for health equity. (For videos and facilitation guide, see our Engage for Equity site.
Visioning with the CBPR Model
The Visioning exercise facilitates partnerships to plan or evaluate their own outcomes, their contexts, the strengths and challenges of their own partnering processes, and their intervention and research actions to achieve their desired outcomes.
