The South Central AIDS Education and Training Center offers comprehensive, collaborative educational opportunities designed to increase the size and strength of the HIV clinical workforce, improve outcomes along the HIV Care Continuum and reduce the incidence of HIV infection by optimizing rates of virologic suppression.

HIV Testing and Prevention ECHO Series

The South Central AIDS Education and Training Center is excited to share an education and training opportunity for health care team members who are implementing programs or directly ordering HIV and STI screening, risk assessment, PEP/PrEP, and linkage to care.

How Can This Benefit You?

Intended for recipients of Bureau of Primary Health Care Ending the HIV Epidemic funding, choosing to participate in this community of practice will help you accelerate your progress by building the necessary knowledge and skills to:

Confidently implement evidence-informed practices for routine HIV screening, targeted HIV testing, risk reduction counseling and HIV PrEP prescription and monitoring
Build a relationship with community prevention programs and centers where patients who test positive for HIV can quickly be connected to care

The program is free to you and your agency, and offers medical, nursing, pharmacy and social work continuing education credits to participants at no cost.

What’s Involved?

This one-hour, weekly cohort-based program includes presentations and real-life case discussions to help you address challenges and barriers to implementing HIV services in your community.

Upcoming Training

Three 12-week training cohorts:

Cohort 1: Sept. 1 to Nov. 17
Cohort 2: Jan. 5, 2023 to March 23, 2023
Cohort 3: March 30, 2023 to June 15, 2023

The weekly virtual sessions will occur on Thursdays, 11 a.m. to noon Mountain Time (noon to 1 p.m. CT)
