New Mexico Department of Health Holds Planning Forums Around the State 

The New Mexico Department of Health is hosting 4 Turn the Curve on Health planning events throughout the state May 9 – 31, 2012 for community and Tribal partners statewide to discuss how we may work in partnership toward population based change related to nine (9) specific health areas. 

When you register to attend the regional meeting, you will be asked to select one of the following health issues as a focus for your contribution.curve in road

  • Healthy Weight (Child and Adolescent Obesity)
  • Diabetes
  • Tobacco Use
  • Teen Births
  • Adult Immunizations (Ages ≥65: Influenza/Pneumococcal) 
  • Oral Health
  • Fall-Related Injury and Deaths Among Older Adults 
  • Unintentional Drug Overdose Deaths (Illicit and Prescription) 
  • Alcohol-Related Deaths
