Accounts Frequently Asked Questions

Please use this FAQ Link for much more information about your accounts.

NetIDs are created for faculty and staff only at the request of their respective departments. HSC Departments can access the online request form at the Account Request Form page.

To see if an HSC NetID has been created, go to eGuide and search by user last name. If the user last name does not appear, the NetID has not been created. Once the HSC NetID has been created users may change their default password at mypw.health.unm.edu.

The UNM NetID can be changed at UNM NetID Maintenance.

Many students, staff, and faculty members are concerned with the status of their HSC NetId's when they leave UNM. First and foremost, unless you are a retired faculty member or Professor Emeritus you are no longer entitled to any HSC computer accounts, to include e-mail, after your last active day with the HSC.
