SDOH & Health Equity 101 is an introduction course to social drivers of health (SDOH), the importance of upstream intervention, intersectional understanding, and interdisciplinary approaches for problem-solving to impact health outcomes. SDOH are non-medical factors impacting health outcomes and have a stronger influence than genetics or health care delivery. The course is presented in six modules, covering all five of the widely recognized SDOH domains (economic stability, education, healthcare, neighborhood and built environment, and social and community contexts). The course can be taken fully asynchronous and self-paced or used as part of a hybrid or in-person course. The course administrator is available to support facilitation and inclusion of the course). Six hours of CEU/CME for physicians, nurses, social workers, community health workers, pharmacists, and nurse practitioners are available upon completion at no cost.
