The HSC Office of the CIO will be upgrading the file servers that provide network file access to HSC users on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 6:00 PM. The HSC O: drive, the HSC N: drive, and the H: drives for all HSC users will be inaccessible during the upgrade. We estimate that file access will be restored by 10 PM.

In order to resolve ongoing issues with Cherwell, the we will implement a fix to the database at 6:30 on 9/19/2016. This will require all services to be down, and should last no longer than one and a half hours.

Replace the 3550s that make up the distribution layer of BRF with a pair of QFX-5100s.

Estimated actual outage should be fairly short, but user impact may be noted from fiber plant changes needed before the actual switch over.

Due to CSCva92151 there is potential to take over the security appliances. Cisco has released new code to resolve this. This will be installed on the internet facing systems. (VPN, extranet and guest wireless) The older PIX and FWSM systems will have SNMP disabled.

There should not be any outage associated with this, although there is always the possibility that replacing the netscaler may cause an issue with the primary.
