“We welcome your questions and feedback and invite you to explore the many opportunities that are offered here at UNM’s Health Sciences Center.” Vice Chancellor, Amy J. Levi
The mission of the Office of Academic Affairs is to support the overall vision and mission of the Health Sciences Center by providing meaningful support to HSC students and faculty.
Our vision is a Health Sciences Center in which students and faculty receive effective, timely, and respectful administrative support, with easily accessible information and efficient mechanisms to express their opinions on matters that affect them.
Welcome to the Health Sciences Office of Academic Affairs; our goal is to effectively serve the needs of the HSC students and faculty.
The HSC Office of Academic Affairs consists of the offices of Faculty Contracts, Professionalism, Interprofessional Education, Registrar/Student Services, Student Loan and Debt Management, and provides academic support to the Health Sciences Rio Rancho campus. We also support the UNM Health Sciences Faculty and Student Councils.
The Office for Academic Affairs supports UNM Health Sciences students to successfully manage their educational experience while they are enrolled. Because of the rapid changes in health care, we are continually building, sustaining, and modifying our academic programs to ensure that we are providing a quality education while maintaining the accreditation standards of each program. We strive to listen and respond to student needs, and to support students with financial aid education and extensive support from our registrar.
We are here to support all faculty concerns, feedback and recommendations, and we provide pathways toward enriching the faculty experience in our missions of education, research, clinical service and leadership so that all faculty have an opportunity for rewarding careers. We promote the highest expectations for our students and faculty with regard to professional behavior and our commitment to a diverse and respectful environment. Our student and faculty councils extend our missions to the wider university and to New Mexico’s communities.
Our team of professional staff is available to assist you in your career as a student or faculty member. We welcome your questions and feedback and invite you to explore the many opportunities that are offered here at UNM’s Health Sciences Center.
