Your experience at the UNM Health Sciences Center is rich in experiences, such as serving on national health organizations. Sometimes, these experiences require students to travel, which costs money for transportation and lodging. Or perhaps you need funding for software or professional publications that will help further your learning experience.
We won't let cost stand in the way of your education. We can help you get reimbursed for certain travel and professional development expenses. We handle reimbursements according to University business and accounting procedures. Reimbursable expenses generally include airline tickets, educational software, professional publication subscriptions, and conference registration fees.
We are required to report travel reimbursements to the Student Financial Aid Office. These monies are considered income and might affect a student's eligibility for other financial aid.
Make your requests for funds in writing in advance of the event. Apply here or contact us for information.
