There are more than 6,000 people participating in adult supervision in New Mexico. Many of them lack basic resources for sustainable and healthy living. The Community Peer Education Project, a sister program of the New Mexico Peer Education Project, provides these individuals with referrals to resources in their local areas through the evidence-based model of peer support work.
By using the ECHO Model, we can expand our work in local communities across New Mexico. This program is a voluntary, peer-led support program for individuals transitioning from incarceration to supervision by the New Mexico Probation and Parole Department.
Through weekly sessions, participants learn about successfully completing supervision, finding employment, networking and self-advocacy techniques, as well as resources for recovery, growth and health.

Sessions are every first Thursday of the month from 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. (MT)
We welcome community members and organizations that support people who are on adult supervision in New Mexico to join the ECHO session.
We provide brief, relevant didactics to better understand and support those on supervision, case-based learning to identify best practices, and opportunities to network and collaborate.
