We are currently recruiting an Associate Professor or Professor with tenure with a strong track record of research, publication and extramural funding. The incoming faculty member will be expected to teach and maintain an active research program. The combination of teaching and scholarly productivity is a fundamental component of research at an R1 University.
Responsibilities include conducting research, teaching, mentoring and advising students, and participating in program activities and committees to ensure program goals are achieved. This position may also involve participating in service projects with internal and external community partners that share the College's mission. The College welcomes applicants interested in working with community partners as well as inter-professional health care and academic partners.
We are currently recruiting a faculty member for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) position. The primary focus of the position is to teach content in the PMHNP program. This is a 50% or greater full-time effort (FTE) 12-month appointment.
The incoming faculty will advise and teach students in psychiatric mental health nursing, along with maintaining an active clinical practice. We are currently recruiting faculty members for graduate nursing positions. The primary focus is teaching conceptual content for Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioners (APRN) and/or in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) courses. This is a full-time 12-month appointment. The selected applicant must commit to living in Albuquerque/Santa Fe metropolitan statistical area.
The incoming faculty will teach and maintain an active New Mexico nursing license specific to their area of teaching. The combination of teaching and clinical experience is a fundamental component of our educational mission. Responsibilities include classroom, online and simulation teaching, mentoring, advising and precepting students, assisting with clinical placements and student oversight, scholarship/service, and participation in program activities and committees to ensure stated program goals are achieved. This position may teach across programs at the College of Nursing.
We are currently recruiting a faculty member for a Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PC-PNP) Program Director position. The PC-PNP Program Director is responsible for the PC-PNP program of the College. The PC-PNP Program Director ensures that the standards and policies of the College of Nursing, the Health Science Center (HSC), and the University are met in the PC-PNP program and further that the program achieves the highest standards for Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner education outlined by national bodies in nursing education.
The incoming faculty member will teach and maintain an active CPNP-PC national certification, integrating teaching and clinical experiences to fulfill our educational mission. Responsibilities include facilitating curriculum planning, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the PC-PNP program; classroom and simulation teaching; mentoring, advising and precepting students; assisting with clinical placements, community outreach and overseeing student progress. The UNM College of Nursing (CON) is seeking Training Project Consultants to assist with the Breastfeeding Child health and Mammary Permeability (CHAMPS) study. The purpose of this study is to learn about how milk composition contributes to a new parent’s milk supply and how in turn, human milk affects the infant health and growth. Primary responsibilities for this position include conducting and/or assisting with prenatal and postpartum lactation support groups at local clinics as well as conducting home visits to collect research data and biological samples and to provide in-person lactation support as needed working up to 10 per hours per week.
