In 2004, local community organizations and researchers in Rochester, Minnesota came together to form the Rochester Healthy Community Partnership (RHCP). This partnership collaborated on various community-identified health concerns, including tuberculosis prevention and control in the community. In 2015, RHCP partnered with the UNM Center for Participatory Research to conduct a formal evaluation of the partnership. This evaluation analyzed the processes and procedures that contribute to the sustainability of cross-disciplinary partnerships and the implementation of research protocols in communities. The adaptation of the CBPR model was a useful step in the evaluation process, allowing for reflection on the history and values of the partnership. After more than 10 years of partnering, the model represented not only the core constructs of the original CBPR model but new elements as well.
