This CTSC-sponsored series of monthly meetings for all UNM investigators is designed to enhance UNM's translational mission. The series will bring together basic, clinical, and translational researchers and shared resource directors to advance projects from bench to bedside and to promote the application of UNM technology to clinical and translational investigations.

The Monday, December 11, 2017 meeting’s topic is obesity and includes the following presentations:

• Meilian Liu, PhD, Assistant Professor, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology: “Browning of White Adipose Tissue-Regulation and Therapeutic Application.”
• Alberta S. Kong, MD, MPH, Associate Professor, Chief, Division of Adolescent Medicine, Department of Pediatrics: “Behavioral Weight Management through School-based Health Centers.”
• Sally M. Davis, PhD, Director, UNM Prevention Research, Professor, Department of Pediatrics: “Preventing Obesity in Communities Through Environmental Approaches: A Dissemination and Implementation Study.”
