The Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center (HSLIC) recognizes working from home provides employees the flexibility and self-determination to complete work assignments with fewer interruptions and greater work-life balance. Many services and tasks can be performed electronically, and the library has an increasing user base for whom electronic communication is more convenient. Working from home is also an important means to help employees complete projects and dedicate time to career development and advancement.
HSLIC is committed to providing all of its employees the opportunity to work remotely for some portion of their job. The amount of time allocated to working from home will be dependent on an individual’s job duties, division/unit needs, and overall staffing levels.
