We assess and identify equity, inclusion, accessibility, anti-racism, and justice opportunities within HSLIC’s spaces, including our online spaces and for employees.
The Health Sciences Library and Informatic Center’s (HSLIC) Justice, Equity, and Inclusion Committee works to develop a welcoming and inclusive environment for our diverse patrons and employees, aligning with the library’s strategic goals and the UNM Health Sciences Center’s strategic plan. The committee promotes equity, inclusion, justice, anti-racism, and accessibility initiatives within HSLIC and beyond through collaboration with members of the campus and community. The committee's main goal is to strengthen and promote HSLIC's role as a place that respects and embraces various cultures, acknowledges their strengths, and provides opportunities for growth and success through our services and resources. The committee will work with reflection and learning to better understand the needs of our community, while also identifying and taking action to create change.
