Geriatric Medicine

UNM Hospital and the VA Medical Center are the largest teaching hospitals in the state. And as the only Level I Trauma Center in New Mexico, we care for many of New Mexico’s aging residents.

We are home to the UNM Senior Health Center, a dedicated center for patients 75 years and older. Our Clinicians and staff specialize in the care of patients who are frail, elderly and/or living with dementia

In addition to high-quality care, our team educates the next generation of geriatric providers. Learn how to serve seniors with compassion, respect and professionalism through a clerkship, fellowship or mentor program.
