DIPLOMASA PDF copy of your diploma will be on file in OMSA for future requests after physical copies are mailed – no need to take your diploma out of its frame! (2010 - Current)Diplomas are printed by a third party and mailed directly to graduates approximately 2-3 weeks after final grades are posted and degrees conferred. Digital copies will be available in OMSA after the originals are mailed by late July or August. You may have the option to purchase a digital version from the printer, however, some institutions will still require that a certified copy be sent directly from OMSA.
TRANSCRIPTSThe Office of Medical Student Affairs can provide unofficial transcripts only.Official transcripts can be ordered through the UNM Main Campus Office of the Registrar via the Parchment Portal. Final transcripts are posted and degrees are conferred 2-3 weeks after the official graduation date.
VERIFICATIONSOMSA can fulfill verifications upon request. Verification documents should be forwarded via email to HSC-OMSA@salud.unm.edu. Please include your Full Name, any alternate names used while attending the UNM SOM, UNM Banner ID (if known), and DOB.When seeking board licensure, education verifications will be required. OMSA verifies your Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree only. Contact the Graduate Medical Office or equivalent at your residency institution regarding any post-graduate work in the future.
