Our 2-year and 9-month post-baccalaureate Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program provides graduate nursing students with increased breadth and depth of knowledge in clinical, leadership, and health care systems thinking skills needed to address the growing and increasingly complex health care needs of the state, especially in rural and under-resourced communities.
During this program, students will engage in rigorous coursework building on a strong foundation of evidence-based practice and clinical education that develops expertise in one of our six advanced nursing concentrations.
Didactic and clinical coursework incorporates the most advanced clinical knowledge within each concentration while emphasizing the needs of diverse populations, advancing health equity and addressing inclusivity and justice in the delivery of care.
Our faculty come from a variety of backgrounds, have a passion for teaching and most remain active in clinical practice.
We offer 6 concentrations to earn your Post-Bachelor’s DNP – Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, Nurse-Midwifery, Nursing Administrative Leadership, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – Primary Care and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
