The University of New Mexico (UNM) College of Population Health offers two graduate minors in addition to its graduate degree programs. If you're interested in adding a graduate minor in public health to your existing degree, talk with an advisor early to make sure you qualify.
The two minors are:
Minor in Public Health: This minor requires students to complete 18 credit hours of coursework, including courses such as ... View Program
Minor in Maternal and Child Health (MCH): This minor requires students to complete 12 credit hours of coursework, including courses such as Introduction to MCH in Public Health, and three seminars covering history, research, policy and responding to the communities. View Program
The goal of these minors is to provide students with a foundation in public health and health justice, which will improve their employment prospects in a range of industries, including healthcare, public health, social work, and community health. Through teaching, research, and community involvement, the UNM College of Population Health is dedicated to reducing health inequalities and advancing health equality.
